Artist statement
I’m an IKEBANA Artist & Photographer.
I was born in Japan.
When I grew up as a Japanese, there were always flowers around me. My family business was dealing with flowers.
Learn the oldest flower arrangement in Japan called the “IKEBANA” from the age of five.
When I was a student, I learned drawing and digital techniques.
I learned about ikebana and felt the “time” of flowers while facing them. The flowers show a momentary glow as they grow and scatter. It was the original cultivated technology that could capture that moment.
I feel aesthetic sense in the withering thing. A microcosm of life. The glow of a moment. I chose the technique of photography from the point that the ikebana is in the Japanese aesthetic sense (Wabi-Sabi) and respects the moment in the flow of life, and I strives to imagine the torrent of life before and after.
Since 2014, works at exhibitions have started full-scale. I started to use the technique of photography because of the flowers lack of reproducibility and the dramatic change. The aim is to construct a gateway to the spiritual world beyond each superficial beauty by combining flowers with the value of being as a three-dimensional object and a photo that encourages the imagination of space because it is a plane.
Making use of Spatial grasping ability, Natural sense of color, and Identity as a Japanese, it would be much appreciated if you could see my photos and flowers and immerse yourself in your conscious world.

Learn classical flower arrangements since childhood
Started showing ikebana works at exhibitions in 2014
Introduced a photograph of my own ikebana work, incorporating photography into expression techniques from 2016
Currently actively presenting works in Japan, UK, Switzerland, Germany, United Arab Emirates,U.S.A,Italy and other countries
序文
目を開けるとそこには極彩色の世界が広がっている。
すべてのものが持つ色という概念に、光のコントラストが重なり一瞬の色彩を奏でる。
そういった日常のひと時ひと時の激しい変化の中で、ひときはまばゆい光を放つ花々の輝きを構成し、かけがえのない美しさを現わす。
何をもって花を生けるのか
何をもってシャッターを切るのか
何を伝えたいのか
私の中でアートとは世俗との乖離を意味する
アートを見るとき人は独りになる。それは個性という目を通じて、眼前に広がる個性と対話するということ
人は個として素晴らしいものであるはずで、集団的意識の中に埋没すべきではないと私は考える
私の作品は集団から抜け出すための門扉
見る者にその先にある自己解釈への鍵を渡したい
そういった世界に身を置いて、此方においでと語りかけているのである

[略歴]
1983 : 群馬の地で生を受ける
1988 : 家業（生花店）の影響で華道を習う
1993~ : 栃木県は足尾の山奥にて小学校から中学校時代を過ごす
高校卒業後大学へ進学、ヨーロッパの文化・伝統・語学を学ぶ
実家へ戻りフローリストとなる
2012 : 有限会社フローリストワタリ代表取締役に就任
2014 : 銀座での２人展を皮切りに展覧会活動を開始
2016：フォトアート作品群「Vision of Flowers」を発表、制作及び販売を開始
2017：impress QuickBook より、電子書籍「ハナカツ３６５」（十二ヶ月連続刊行）「華のアート写真集〜青の章〜」発売
2019：海外での展示会活動を開始。写真を中心に諸外国での展示会に参加。
